I am a tropical community ecologist. I want to understand how plants and animals respond to environmental gradients at small and large scales, and elucidate the mechanisms that regulate community structure in natural ecosystems and community reassembly in managed landscapes.
My research in community reassembly has important implications for the restoration of tropical forests, and my investigations in animal biodiversity contribute to wildlife conservation
